Hello Dearest OCFers!
Praise God for the week of break from classes! Hope everyone's been able to have a good time of rest and chillaxing PLUS fruitful me-time with God :D It'd be good to take some time this week to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross, and reflect on God's love and our response to Him :)

Hello Dearest OCFers!
How is everyone doing now after the super sudden hail storm???? Thank God that it's over for now and I hope everyone is okay :D I'm sure some of us got to experience life in darkness for a while which reminded us of the goodness of LIGHT! I pray that all of us (including myself) constantly draw our brightness and saltiness from Jesus, by talking to Him and listening to His word daily.
Tuition-free weeks/term breaks are coming really soon...so hang in there and work hard and listen attentively in your classes okay! For those with tests and exams, continue to do your best and commit all things to God in prayer!
Lastly.... ALPHA STARTS THIS FRIDAY!!!! So see you there!

Hello Dearest OCFers!
Hope week 3 of uni is going great for all of you!!! Just want to thank you all for being part of the big family as the body of Christ! It always brings me much joy to see and fellowship with all of you! Let's surrender 2010 into God's hands, reading the bible to find out what He thinks LIFE is about (:

Cheryl was just sharing with a few of us this morning with regards to being SALT AND LIGHT..
Matthew 5:
14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
The source of our light would be none other than Jesus Christ. Without looking towards Christ, we can't expect to be His light. AND when we shine, we do not hide in bowls, but we shed light in the darkness, directing people to the source of our light! As Paul mentioned in Romans 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." Let us rejoice and give thanks that God has called us His children and given us Jesus Christ to die for our sins!
It is my prayer that every single one of us will grasp the vision of being salty salt and bright light for Jesus wherever we are (in school, with our families, back home, on the bus, at work, etc.) and remember to keep coming back to the source of salt and light- JESUS CHRIST through prayer and reading the
bible! :D
